The foundation of Ride97 goes back to 2004, when Maqbool Rahman travelled to Singapore for higher studies. There, he built genuine friendships with overseas students from multiple countries — friendships that remained strong for decades.
From 2009 onward, Maqbool Rahman's career as an ad filmmaker took him across Malaysia, Brunei, Bahrain, and several other nations. During these years, he worked closely with international cinematographers, creative teams, and clients who became more than colleagues — they became his trusted global family.
For many years, this close group existed simply as a friendly WhatsApp circle.
But in August 2025, that long-standing bond transformed into something
meaningful:
Ride97 — a premium travel club for both overseas and domestic members.
